My favorite series of art is Degas's "Woman at the Bath" drawings, so that is where I got the inspiration for things in the bathroom. I had never really played with watercolors, so I chose to take apart the sketchbook and rebind it with watercolor paper. I found it very calming to add to these paintings with pen. Once I started with that I continued and ended up finding a style that gave a fluid appearance. I am excited to take this look into my oil paintings, pastel, and colored pencil drawings. I do art just because I enjoy it and it makes me feel good. I would like to sell artwork, but I have never created a piece with that being the intention behind it. My work expresses things that I find beautiful or interesting; it shows things that I am feeling and going through in my life. I use art as therapy and for self reflections.
