This was a much needed push for me to do this sketchbook with a deadline attached. I am never out of ideas which brings me to my most encountered problem. Which idea to do next. Life is so short.
My passion has always been animals, thanks to my Mama instilling in me to respect Mother Earth and all her inhabitants from an early age. I don't recall a day in my life without animals or plants. So it reflects in all I create. I have a soft spot for rabbits. I always root for the underdog and rabbits being so low on the food chain it makes sense I guess. I do a lot of charity art for our local rabbit rescue because since I was seven years old I always wanted my art to make a difference. I've been drawing so many by now that I don't always need a reference anymore. This book for me was a place to let it all out. No boundaries. No specifics in mind except that all art is evolving around rabbits.
I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany and I moved to the USA at age 21. Art has always been the most constant part of my life and I started to be obsessed with drawing at six years of age. I am currently working on becoming a full time working artist with HareBrainArtStudio.com and planning on being able to give more back to rabbit rescues. I like to mention that page 2 and 3 are my life captured in short via small art clips, from birth until present - sending off this sketchbook project.
