I would have loved to sketch more and write less in this book, but the words just came out. I am my mother's primary caregiver as she slowly declines from dementia. She's a wonderful happy person, and has been - but we are losing her little by little to the deterioration that is dementia/Alzheimer's.
I paint occasionally, realism, but my caring for my mom has not allowed me the free time to do that, nor am I mentally calm enough to paint. I must be mostly calm, and mostly happy to paint. While I am not unhappy, I am worried most of the time - which really erodes my peace of mind.
My other creative outlets are music - singing mostly. I sing a lot.
