I lost my son, Michael, in 2014 at the age of 23. His dad, sister and I desperately miss his physical presence, but we are comforted by the knowledge that he is still with us, "still here", just in a different way. He lets us know this by sending all kinds of signs. A hawk, a special song at just the right moment, his initials on a license plate when we're thinking of him. When I received this sketchbook as a gift from my sister, Michael's Auntie M, I was inspired to make it a testament to this; to capture these signs and share them with others who might then be inspired to notice the messages their loved ones may be sending. To know that love never dies. The theme "go-between" fit. These signs reach between our world and the one that is now his. So in actuality this is a collaborative effort. Thank you Michael for sharing your light.
