Amy Goodfellow Wagner received her MFA in Painting from Columbia University’s School of the Arts, where she studied with leading American Abstract Expressionist Richard Pousette-Dart. She graduated with Honors in her major field of Studio Art from Wellesley College and studied at the Tyler School of Art’s Rome campus during her junior year.
An ongoing series of drawings and paintings explores the “geometries of place.” These small-scale, intimate works explore the essential nature of the exterior world through basic forms and textural blocks of color. The scale of these works is of the utmost importance, offering a “private” experience for the viewer.
