It turns out, to my surprise, that my book is a letter to a high school mate named Sally. We graduated from High School in 1958. We reconnected at a fiftieth class reunion and continued to communicate through social media.
I put a photo of Admiral Peary's underwear on Facebook, because I loved the two small hand stitched pockets. Sally thought they were for condoms; they were for instruments.
My book answers Sally's question and discusses my feelings about feminism, which is a major theme of my current artwork.
