I drew on the current political and social climate at the beginning of 2017 as the world continues to shift in an unimaginable direction. There are things that are generating fear and things that are generating hope and it often seems quite unbalanced. The book references to current affairs from around the world as well as harking to literature and history that note the dangers of what lies ahead if we continue on this path of divisiveness. It's hard not to get depressed when you read and hear about the awful things that are not only happening but increasing in frequency and vehemence - what do we do when people don't listen to hear? My practice is interested in human communication and connection - the way we do it or the way we avoid it and the narratives we weave.
