I love color and texture. I am not a visual artist, but I love art making materials. My area of expression is writing. When I began this project, I put down colors, and got stuck. Last month, I began again.
I realized I was thinking about my mother, who died a year ago (April 2017). I was using colors that reminded me of her. It became a tribute to a woman well known.
Most of the words came from the journal I began after my mother died. My husband says this was not my best work, but it was honest.
I love this project; the inclusiveness. Professional artists, adults, children, and people who love color and texture, or finely sketched black lines. Anybody is welcome. People from all over the world are brought together to express, and share.
