I'm a mother of two teenagers, artist, and avid reader from New Zealand. I was looking for cool words to illustrate for my book and ended up with so many it made sense to put them in alphabetical order - and my weird little dictionary was born! I have a degree in Graphic Design and this shows in the strongly graphic style I utilised to create this book. Black, white and red are the traditional colours used in the art of the indigenous people of New Zealand - the Maori. I wanted to explore creating images within a limited colour palette so I used these colours alone in my book. I've thoroughly enjoyed creating this - I hope you enjoy experiencing it!
