I am a practicing visual artist with an MFA from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, in Painting and Drawing. I taught as an Assistant Professor of Art and Lecturer for fifteen years.
My work is in various public collections, including the Hallmark Art Collection, the Museum of Nebraska Art, and the Sheldon Art Gallery, as well as numerous private collections in the U.S.
I work in a variety of media, including ink, ballpoint, colored pencil, acrylic, oil, oilstick and collage.
My work is abstract expressionist in nature, and explores an animated balance between chaos and order. It refers to landscape; that of the physical, and of the imagination, and also references the body.
My sketchbook, New Strata, presents a juxtaposition between controlled, defined geometric spaces and abstract collage elements.
