After the birth of my twin girls who screamed all day and barely slept, I rediscovered art as an emotional outlet. I use mixed media to explore people and nature, sometimes painstakingly aiming for realism, sometimes in a flight of whimsy. I live in a treehouse in Tasmania with my five children, and this sketchbook was used to celebrate some of the funny comments my daughters have uttered over the last eight years. I'm a doctor with a special interest in mental wellbeing, and through my work I promote creative outlets and expressive arts as a means to maintaining a healthy mind.
