When I found out about The Sketchbook Project I instantly wanted to give it a go. I like to challenge myself to do new things and this seemed like a great way to share my artwork.
I am currently working part time as a graphic designer and printer, and in my spare time I create and sell my art. Over the past few years I believe I have grown a lot as an artist. By doing this sketchbook I was able to experiment further with my art style and create various pieces to reflect my thoughts and my art style.
I am an Australian artist but my art style is influenced by Japanese art culture and by Disney. My favourite traditional mediums to use are watercolour, copic markers and ink. I also do a lot of digital work using Adobe Photoshop CS5. I incorporated each of these mediums into my sketchbook. At first I had some trouble because the paper was so thin that each of my traditional mediums just seeped straight through the paper. In the end I just drew on seperate paper and glued the completed pieces into the book.
A few of the pieces I left in the sketchbook are unfinished. Most of these pieces I plan to make into digital pieces later. If you like my style of art, please check out my Facebook and Instagram pages and you will find my digital art pieces there.
