When I sit down with my paint (acrylic, pencils, aquarelle) after a day at work, I both feel afraid and exited. Sometimes it feels like all the energy and consentration has totally gone. At other times, just starting mixing colurs and having a very playful approach brings me in a meditative state of mind.
Very often I make a beginning with several pictures at a time, to see where it leads. And that is how my sketchbooks comes alive, very often. One picture leads to another..sometimes connected in a strange way and sometimes not.
"Right here, right now " gave me the opportunity I needed at the time: to express how I actually felt. Going through a period in life with lots of questions and struggeling with strong emotions, this book was made almost like a prolonged therapy-session.
