The one subject an artist understands more than any other is that of ‘I’. Throughout modern times, if the artwork is not a straight forward self-portrait, it will invariably make reference to the artists’ mood, beliefs, heritage etc. a form of therapy through expression and soul searching
This Year 2 Fine Art photography based exhibition has developed around the personal nature of these students, from simple pleasures of daily life, ongoing health struggles to observations on lives of close relatives.
The objectives allowed for complete independence in choice of topic and materials, the only restraint being the inclusion of the work within this book, a scale that forces the viewer to observe the work at an intimate distance and engage with the artists’ personality.
