“My journals and sketchbooks provide me with ways to observe life both by drawing and writing down my thoughts at the moment. I love to draw people in interesting settings such as at museums, in coffee shops, and outside on a patio. These little books that I’ve filled have helped me understand myself better, to clarify my thinking, and to experiment with artistic ideas.”
