Art for me is important as a means of reflection.
My artwork navigates between drawing, painting, photography, and printmaking.
Mediums that are usually combined to highlight the tactile nature of the pieces. And also to show through various materials different languages and ways of seeing, communicating and understanding.
What I aim for when I am creating as well as when I am teaching or guiding to learn a technique in the arts: is to generate an opinion.
Elements of nature, the human body, the skin and the fluids are important to me. This are concepts that are inscribed in a poetic/ humourous reflection towards human relations, through expressions such as power, fragility, the concern for the ephemeral and the environmental pollution.
Bêtiser is a sketchbook and dummy of a playful bestiary in which I worked for many years. In it I reflect my love for animals and nature. Animals for me are very loving beings that help to understand better about ourselves and about life.
