I am an artist who draws inspiration from the animals and objects I share my tiny Connecticut farm with! This winter has been a particular struggle for us, with record snow fall and record low temperatures. It is the end of March now, and we still have piles of snow nearly six feet high!
In spite of the difficulties farmers face with such extreme conditions, there were moments of wonder, joy and beauty this winter. Watching the horses gallop through the freshly fallen snow; taking a sleigh ride all bundled in blankets and heavy coats; taking a moment from chores to sit and have a coffee with my husband. It is the little moments on a tiny Connecticut farm that make life so enjoyable!
