This a continuation and a deviation from my last two sketchbooks. The sketchbook travelled with me around Thailand to the beach, the forest, Bangkok, home (Ayutthaya) and even into my classroom where I teach drawing and animation. It helped develop ideas for my one woman show, Trunkated Tales in the Neilson Hayes Rotunda Gallery in Bangkok and it helped me play with ideas in a random mark making way. The process was organic, sometimes derived from observation drawing of places or people then adding in elephants. Other times the elephant started the image and the backgrounds were added. The book was not constructed linear but pages filled in random orders. The final outcome has it's own random narrative - each picture a mixture of seen and unseen, memory and imagination.
