@P.J. Evans - i don't think acrylics are a good idea for a book like this. i put several layers of matte varnish over my stuff and that seemed to help, but after a few months in the Art House library, i heard that the pages were really sticking together badly.
i think if i had not painted facing pages it might have been OK. or if i had used only thin washes of acrylic instead of thicker, plastic-y layers. acrylic really likes to stick to itself.

Fabulous portraits. It's raw & energetic! I love your color choices. Reminds me of some of my older paintings (but I did partial faces) only..... Yours are WAY BETTER. It's inspiring to me. Thank you.

I love your book and your painting style! I think it's really cool how loose you paint, but it all comes together in a really elegant way.
