My work evolves from childhood memories, dreams, and fairy tales. In childhood, art and nature were my passions. Childhood, folklore, fairy tales, circus imagery, dreams and nightmares are some of the themes I’ve worked with. My memories from life experiences inspire my printed imagery, which in turn form the blueprints for both my sculptures and installations. My first love was drawing and painting and so swiftly printmaking has become my life for all its versatility and tradition. I own Blue Cat Press and am continually printing and creating in my personal studio. I enjoy working on my own artwork and creating work with my friends. There is always more to learn and expand into your own practice and I love interacting with other artists.
This sketchbook is a visual book of memories and conversations with friends and family, but just like a true memory, you are only getting part of it. You just get a "snippet" from each of my memories, or a part of a whole. The whole being who I am and what I keep close beneath the surface.
