I am an artist and I work in a large regional library and curate the gallery, create programming (much in the arts) and work with kids. I didn't always do that. What I always did was paint, especially watercolor. With work and family it's easy to get distracted from art, so I have looked for ways to get back in. With the Sketchbook Project I've learned that by committing to a project, I can create pathways for creativity. I don't do journals, so I just had to figure out a way to fake it. But as it turns out I found a creative process in myself that was probably always there but unrecognized. For me, it was learning to eliminate the fear of doing something new and not yet successful. Yeesh think of all the things that went by the wayside because of this!
