Godchild was loosely constructed, one spread at a time, out of order. The story wrote itself in that way. It grew wholly, not from beginning to end. It was used to experiment, play, and to think through the complex ideas that I've had ever since reading Lewis Hyde's book, Trickster Makes This World. The story is about a trickster who visits a forest and makes magic.
