When I was a little girl, I wanted to paint everything with nail polish. The colorful enamel seemed to preserve objects and suspend them in time. In this book, I used nail polish to play with color and smell to remind me of my childhood. I encourage you to feel the smoothness, and smell the vapors while looking through it. The people and animals are strangers, pets, and models of New York City.
