My art is idea-driven. Some quirky info-bit sparks in my brain and demands to be explored, so I start by absorbing tons of research. I try to live and breathe it so I don't need to think while I'm creating - I can subconsciously draw from it to create my pages. Probably only 10% of what I've absorbed actually makes it to the final page, but it's always a deeply satisfying creative process for me.
