Chemistry is the Emotion of Matter

by Ellen Ziegler Seattle, WA, United States

theme: Below the surface

project: SBP 2011

Ellen Ziegler is represented by SOIL Gallery in Seattle. Her current work investigates the psychological and physical properties of materials through drawing. She works with tar paper, carved mirrors, burned paper, and light-sensitive surfaces, as well as the changing effects of light and shadow.

Recently Ziegler has begun to make artist's books using the materials that she's investigated for the last ten years. See website for images: www.ellenziegler.com
